MCT Oil

Dr. Rhonda Patrick, a leading expert in nutritional science, explains that "cold exposure stimulates the release of norepinephrine, a neurotransmitter associated with heightened focus and attention. Cold exposure also releases cold shock proteins such as RNA binding motif 3 (RBM3) that is linked to regeneration of synapses."
Additionally, cold exposure promotes the production of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a protein essential for the growth, maintenance, and plasticity of neurons. BDNF plays a crucial role in neurogenesis, the formation of new neurons, and has been linked to improved memory and learning abilities.
Research conducted at the University of Michigan revealed that exposure to cold temperatures can increase the production of BDNF in the hippocampus, a region of the brain critical for learning and memory. The study further demonstrated that cold exposure improved spatial learning and memory in rodents.
